Clear Cut: The Story of Philomath, Oregon, film en français - Ce documentaire montre un exemple frappant de la guerre de la culture actuelle de l'Amérique. Il montre une communauté rurale, Philomath, Oregon, qui fait une grande transition d'une fois être une force dominante à travers une profession «vieux temps», l'industrie du bois, à celui qui est dominé par les professionnels et les techniciens, «l'âge de l'information». Ceci est illustré par la baisse drastique des scieries dans la région. En 1980, il y avait douze usines autour de Philomath, mais 25 années plus tard, il n'y avait que deux. Les plus grands employeurs ne sont plus les scieries mais l'Oregon State University à Corvallis, qui est d'environ six miles de Philomath, et un centre Hewlett-Packard impliqué dans l'ingénierie des composants à jet d'encre.
