Gone with the Wind, film en français - Géorgie, 1861. Dans l'élégant manoir du sud de Tara, Scarlett O'Hara vit, elle est belle, capricieuse et égoïste dans la région. Elle aspire à l'amour de Ashley, mais il est fiancé à sa cousine Melanie douce et gentille. Heureux temps encore à Tara, mais pas pour longtemps, car la guerre civile (1861-1865) est sur le point d'exploser. Dans la dernière fête organisée avant le déclenchement des hostilités entre le Nord et le Sud, Scarlett a rencontré le charmant, beau cynique Rhett Butler, un playboy arrogant et aventurier, qui ne pense qu'à lui-même et ne pas avoir l'intention de participer dans le conflit. Ce qu'il veut est de devenir riche et de gagner le c?ur de la belle Scarlett.
