Great Expectations, film en français - Mise à jour de l'adaptation du célèbre roman de Dickens, qui avait été filmée par David Lean. Merci à l'argent d'un bienfaiteur inconnu, Finn (Hawke), un jeune pauvres, arrive à New York pour se consacrer à la peinture. Depuis l'enfance Finn obsédé par la belle Estella (Gwyneth Paltrow), qui devient la muse qui a inspiré ses tableaux.
