LE FILM - SYNOPSIS ET DÉTAILS DU FILM

The Agony and the Ecstasy, film en français - Renaissance italienne, début du XVIe siècle (Cinquecento). Lorsque le pape Jules II (Rex Harrison) indique Michelangelo (Charlton Heston) pour peindre le plafond de la chapelle Sixtine, l'artiste refuse le travail. Le pape l'oblige à accepter, mais Miguel Angel détruit son travail et fuit Rome. Quand finalement repris le projet, il devient une bataille de volontés chemins de fer, alimentées par les différences de tempérament et artistiques constants. Drame historique basé sur un best-seller par Irving Stone.
