The Day of the Triffids, film en français - Le monde est témoin de la fin de l'ère de l'humanité pour commencer l'ère des Triffides, une nouvelle espèce de plantes carnivores dont une huile qui remplace l'huile est extraite. Pendant ce temps, une éclipse solaire incroyable laisse tout le monde des aveugles, à l'exception d'un scientifique et une jeune femme. Voilà quand ils découvrent que les Triffids ont échappé des élevages de poissons et sont attaquer la population.
