The King of Comedy, film en français - Comédie amère qui raconte l'histoire de Rupert Pupkin, un homme obsédé par devenir les meilleurs dans leur domaine de comédien. Un jour Rupert rencontre son idole, Jerry Langford, et supplie la chance de figurer sur son spectacle, mais il le nie. Mais pas relâcher ses efforts, la traque Jerry jusqu'à ce qu'il obtienne ce qu'il veut. Enfin, avec l'aide de son amie Masha ils enlèvent Langford pour atteindre leurs objectifs.
