The Private Life of Henry VIII, film en français - En mai 1536, juste après l'exécution de sa deuxième épouse Anne Boleyn (Merle Oberon), Henry VIII (Charles Laughton) épouse Jane Seymour (Wendy Barrie), qui est décédé 18 mois plus tard. Puis la princesse allemande épouse Anne de Clèves (Elsa Lanchester), mais le mariage se termine par un divorce. Sa cinquième épouse, la belle et ambitieuse Katherine Howard (Binnie Barnes), tombe amoureux Enrique courtisan Thomas Culpeper (Robert Donat), mais le roman est découvert et les deux sont exécutées.
