LE FILM - SYNOPSIS ET DÉTAILS DU FILM
The Suspicions of Mr Whicher: The Murder in Angel Lane, film en français - Whicher, retraité de la police après son échec pour résoudre l'affaire de Road Hill House, rencontre Susan Spencer dans une taverne rugueuse, à la recherche de sa nièce Marie, qui est venu à Londres pour trouver Stephen Gann, père de son bébé. Peu après, Marie se trouve tué et l'enfant disparu et Whicher offre pour aider Susan trouver le tueur. Le bébé se trouve dans un foyer pour mères célibataires, dirigés par le Révérend Marlow, qui croit Mary est allé après Stephen, qui l'a rejetée. Whicher apprend que le père de Stephen a été pendu pour le meurtre du père de Susan si Mary ne savait rien à ce sujet. Stephen et un voleur opportuniste sont les principaux suspects du meurtre, mais Stephen convainc Whicher qu'il était la victime visée, comme il était sur le point d'entendre des nouvelles importantes de son grand-père Joshua, maintenant dans un asile d'aliénés. Whicher inveigles son chemin dans l'asile de parler à Joshua et, pour résoudre l'affaire, découvre de sombres secrets dans les familles de Gann et Spencer ainsi que la trahison par un policier corrompu.
