The United States of Leland, film en français - Les États-Unis de Leland raconte l'histoire de Leland (Ryan Gosling), un jeune homme de 15 ans dans le centre de détention pour mineurs de la prison après avoir tué un enfant autiste. A l'intérieur, une couleur de professeur (Don Cheadle) essayer de percer les mystères cachés derrière le comportement de l'enfant, tandis qu'à l'extérieur les changements tumultueux qui affectent la famille de Leland et de la communauté dans laquelle il vit se passe.
