The Wings of Eagles, film en français - Un pilote américain, qui vit complètement cédé à la vie militaire, souffre de casse d'accidents et la colonne vertébrale domestiques. Paralysé dans un fauteuil roulant, il commence une nouvelle vie comme un écrivain et a même embauché en tant que scénariste à Hollywood. Après le bombardement de Pearl Harbor par les Japonais, il est envoyé dans le Pacifique en tant que superviseur d'un nouveau porte-avions de prototype révolutionnaire. Sa volonté extraordinaire rend progressivement récupère de sa blessure.
