LE FILM - SYNOPSIS ET DÉTAILS DU FILM
The World, the Flesh and the Devil, film en français - Ralph Burton est un mineur qui est emprisonné pendant plusieurs jours à la suite d'un éboulement. Quand il parvient enfin à se sortir, il se rend compte que toute l'humanité semble avoir été détruit dans un holocauste nucléaire. Il se rend à New York pour constater qu'il déserte. Faire une vie pour lui-même là, il est abasourdi de trouver finalement Sarah Crandall, qui a également réussi à survivre. Ensemble, ils forment une amitié étroite jusqu'à l'arrivée de Benson Thacker qui a réussi à piloter son petit bateau dans le port de la ville. À ce stade, les tensions montent entre les trois, en particulier entre Thacker, qui est blanc et Burton, qui est noir.
